Is Die Hard a Christmas movie or not? I've technically never seen Die Hard before (just plenty of parodies and pop culture references to it), so I have no dog in this fight.

Yes, because it's set during Christmas time and mentions Christmas, so it counts as a Christmas movie.

No, because it's not specifically about Christmas, Christmas themes, or the holiday season; it's just set in December.

No idea / I've never seen Die Hard before.

I finally saw Die Hard online this weekend. I don't think it's a Christmas movie. It could've been set in July and changed nothing about the plot. I liked it, though.

I just saw it over the weekend. You could set the movie during July and it would change almost nothing about the plot except the party would have been for some other reason. I don't think it's a Christmas movie.
