Why is it that people use Christmas trees?

We use ours now because we love it. Because setting it up is a family bonding activity. Because literally every ornament has a family story, some going back to my great grandparents and those stories are told every year. So, the tree is interwoven into the family fabric.
Here is a simple overview

Because it looks beautiful and they’re fun to decorate.
As for me I celebrate Festivus & all you need is a pole.
Christmas is a Pagan Holiday and not biblical
In fact, there is not a single passage in the entire Bible where God tells people to celebrate Christmas
Just so I get it right. It is a pagan holiday to celebrate the birth of Jesus?
Do some research, Christmas has nothing to do with Jesus especially since it is older than Christianity by a lot and Jesus was born in the spring.
He was born in the fall "when the fields were ready for reaping"
But I will look into it more.
Yes you're right, either way not December 25.
I know. And thank you. I read about the Pagan and Roman holidays where Christianity tried to adapt it into the birth of Jesus
There are lots of stories in the Bible that are taken from other religions, and the Bible itself has books that have been taken out, banned and lost in translation.
I know. I did some research on different religions and bibles a long time ago. I don't remember most of it.
Its symbol just like Santa Clause. Its was a tradition going back to medieval Germany. Depending which country the ornaments represented various religious meanings.
It's an ancient tradition started in Eastern Europe
if it isn't censored I'll check my history books. 🤣😅
We like how it makes our house smell generally. Feels like Christmas when its in our home
Maybe it’s a traditional thing
Those stupid Germans started it
