I say whatever people say to me. I don't think I've ever just said something like that to someone. They say one of them to me and i reciprocate. Maybe it's because I don't really celebrate anything myself, so I just want to wish them good on whatever they're doing.

I believe we can be more sensitive to the needs of our fellow man, that we can be better neighbours to each other. Sometimes we take to much for granted and we forget to tell each other we care. I think Christmas provides a wonderful opportunity to find friendships and to show our loved ones that they are important to us, that we're happy they are in the world. It's something we should do more often. And the spirit of Christmas is a joyous reminder of our responsibility as people.

When I worked a retail as a teen I would just say 'have a good one' as my default but if they said merry Christmas first I would say it back despite my employer insisting we say happy holidays, they weren't the ones on the front lines dealing with these people some don't take well to certain greetings or well wishes even though it is just an extension of kindness. Some people take offense to the most bizarre things.
