Ever had to deal with a death of a loved one near Christmas?

Yes, just another Christmas question. My way of venting I guess. I recently asked one about it and told of the crap that's been going on. and I found out last night that a friend of mine was killed by pretty violent means. I won't go much into detail publicly in respect for her family. She was older, she was like a grandmother I never had. I'm just fucking crushed right now man.

But Thanksgiving was worse; we buried my grandfather the day before Thanksgiving.

Yeah, but I got to have Thanksgiving with relatives who flew in for the funeral! That was nice.

Yes, my father died the day after Christmas, it'll 20 years. Ago this year.

My grandmother died on Dec. 23rd 1999. She was so looking forward to seeing in the new century!
My dad died 3 weeks into the new year 2006.
My aunt died Jan. 5th 2021.

Both my grandparents because of covid. Grandma dies on Christmas eve. Grandfather died 10 days prior.
