For sure.

My wife and I moved to a rural area in 2002. We're about 20 minutes from the nearest town.

In the week or two before Christmas, we go out to dinner with various good friends.
For almost 20 years, before the covid hysteria, we went to friend's house for a pot luck feast and celebration with a dozen or so people on or near Christmas.

I'm regularly in touch with my sister and we talk during the holidays.

My wife talks to her family back east.

So Christmas is a time when we get together or at least stay in touch with friends and family.

Some of them. Of my six best friends in high school, I live with two of them, one is in the Air Force, and the other three are all over the country in different colleges. But I would like to all get together, but it just never works out.

Absolutely. Depending on what people's plans are I try to spend as much time with people as possible. Make sure to video call family in Czechia. My parents usually go away somewhere so my brother stays with me.

yes... we all do, whether in person or online (since some live far away) we do meet or keep in touch before or after holidays, even get together for a bit when possible

one of our traditions here is to gather almost every weekend between December 12th and January 6th so... there is plenty of opportunity for it

also, there's a lot of birthdays around the Holidays as well so... more the reason, lol

I have a group of friends that gets together almost every weekend. And yes we got together for a friends giving and then two weeks ago we did a Christmas party and gift swap which was SO fun! I got a freak load of pasta! Lol! Don’t know who pout that in. But then we are getting together on Friday before goi g out separate ways.
