White Thanksgiving?

green bay wis. has snow tonight and probably colder further north like Michigan. even south from there, in Chicago already had a few nights frozen. did your city have a snowy white Thanksgiving last year?

no in st. louis the snow is so random and like already melting by morning. we get a lot of snow in like February. it's like bread crumbs in November and December

i grew up in east louis for a part of my childhood (yes im white and lived there)

i could give you like an essay about this but in summary ESTL gets a worse rep than what its actually like. like places like it usually just trouble for those that look for it. it does suck to live there bc of conditions & no opportunity. BUT there's a lot more dangerous places in st. louis

Those regions are what happens when major industries up and leave town taking job opportunities with them without adequate replacements.

It's sad that "dangerous places" even exist in the city. It's sad that this city competes with Kansas City and the likes of Baltimore and Detroit for murder rates per capita. NYC and Los Angeles are safer.

We can take solace in the fact that those numbers have base line shifted for the better across the board the past few decades. It's not nearly what it was. I have my own theories as to why that is.

There will be a White Thanksgiving in areas of New England. I have had many White Thanksgivings but not in 3 or 4 years.
