How much time off work do you get over the upcoming festive season?

Used to be typical to get one week off here. Starting to nudge back to that trend. We are entitled to 28 days legally anyway. Over the course of a year.

Whatever the last working day before Christmas 'til the 2nd (3rd in Scotland due to Hogmanay) Never understood American holidays. We take at least a week off as it's widely accepted productivity just drops off significantly as people can't/won't/don't focus.

So if Christmas Eve falls on a Friday, people would generally work but usually shut early and come back on the 3rd.

I'm taking 3 weeks off for Christmas. It's been a rough year. I told my boss I'm not even charging my phone so don't bother calling me and if I'm fired she can send notice through registered mail.

Essentially negative two weeks. I dont work fulltime thought and I am selfemployed BUT instead of one weekly column I allways do a Christmas and newyears special publish in addition. The good thing I can prepare that stuff so it is no work DURING the Christmas season but bassically 6 weeks of work during the first December weeks pre Christmas.

while trying to covering our work in advance... or keep it to the bare minimum, this from Christmas to New Years only

I'm my own boss so I'll take off half of Christmas eve and most of Christmas day because my clients are maybe collecting in the morning of the 24th and then it's eBay on the 25th fishing for spurred engagement rings and unloved gifts

I'm off on Friday 22nd December all the way to the 3rd of January. Holidays are working out well this year

I would only have the bank Holidays (Christmas day, boxing day and new year.
But taking a month off to visit my partners family/friends in her native country
