The year where it felt like I hit the jackpot of presents including Santa 🙂👍. I remember it well. I got the Nintendo entertainment system and dad and my niece and I played nonstop shooting those ducks on duck hunt. Also got an Apple IIe computer. Later when the rest of the family came Dad told me to close my eyes and he set a huge box in front of me unwrapped. I faked surprise and got away with it because - what kid doesnβt look around for Christmas presents? 😉😛. Anyway it was a Star Wars - Return of the Jedi Imperial Shuttle Tydirium. It was beautiful artwork and it was Huge to play with. Swing wings if you turned it upside down, two flip up landing gear, press a button on main grip and the wings would flop down quickly.

If I'm being honest then the best part of Christmas used to be chocolates. My parents used place chocolates under my pillow every Christmas and say Santa gave them to me 😂. I knew it was then, and I used to tell them it was them, but I never caught them red handed. Every Christmas, I used to try to stay awake to catch them when they'd come to place them under my pillow, but I used to fall asleep. And next morning, it's there.
I still remember the first time I didn't find anything under my pillow. I was a grown up, still bummed about it 😅

I was at my Aunt and Uncle's hotel in Trinidad & Tobago with all of my cousins and when we were going to any beach, we got on to the back of the truck and talked. I still remember tapping on the trunk to make a beat for the song "Where is the Love" by Black Eyed Peas and all my cousins joined in to sing. It was a bright sunshiny day. That along with the experiences at the beaches were some of my best and most memorable childhood memories.

When I was a cop I arrived at the tail end of a shooting on Christmas Day. Two homeboys blasting away at each other. As no one got hit and the suspects beat-feat, there was no paperwork. That was a nice Christmas present.
