Christmas Eve Surprise?

Question

Last party I gave a gift to a friend. I only wrote his name on the bag without who the gift was from. My good friend let him know by text that the gift was from me.

Fast forward to Christmas Eve around 7:50pm , he texts my friend to let me know he was stopping by. He came by and gave me a gift. I think it was reciprocated for the gift I gave him. My friend thinks he likes me. But I'm not so sure about that. I sure liked the surprise visit from him. What do you guys think?

Hmm that's an interesting situation. A few things that make me think this guy might be into you:

- He went out of his way to stop by on Christmas Eve last minute to return the gift favor. That takes effort.

- Your friend seems to think he likes you too based on observing you guys interact probably. Friends usually have a good sense for that stuff.

- He wanted to make sure you knew it was him returning the gift, not just dropping it off anonymously. Wanted the personal visit.

- Guys don't usually do nice thoughtful stuff like that for other dudes unless there's more to it, ya know?

It's possible it was just being polite returning the gift. But all the little details - specifically coming by in person last minute on a holiday - do sound like he was putting in extra effort. I'd say there's a pretty good chance he's into you based on that.

If you like him too, maybe trying flirting a little more next time you hang out and see how he reacts. Could lead to something cool. Either way, sounds like you made a good impression!

On one hand maybe he is just being nice & on the other hand I think he likes you & if he didn’t like you he probably wouldn’t have stopped by with a gift.
