We (husband and I) once had a Christmas and New Year holiday in the Canary Islands... And whilst it was nice and warm, and being able to wear Bikinis, T-Shirts and Shorts etc. swimming/paddling in the sea and sipping on pina coladas etc... It somehow was not quite the same as being home here in the cold/freezing UK, wrapping up warm and enjoying nice hot/cold traditional Christmas fayre... What strange folk we are! lol

I've experienced both. More so the summer Christmas.
Since I don't remember the winter Christmas, I'd like to live that one again over a summer Christmas.

I've only ever experienced it in winter climate so it seems normal to have it that way. It's always a bonus if it's snowing to make it a white Christmas.
