What winter festival name do you like best?

Today is the shortest day of the year, also known as the beginning of Yuletide. Now there's a word you only ever see on Christmas cards, isn't it? It's a nice word that doesn't offend anyone that we can all enjoy.

So question, you've been given the job of organising the local festival, you can't name it Christmas because it's been trademarked so what you going to call it?

Winterval

Saturnalia

In the Southern Hemisphere it is inverted. June is winter. And June 30 is the end of the financial year and tax time.

And that means it is time to make up whoppers about tax deductions.
