I knew the family well since I had all the kids but it was WEIRD!! I told my principal just to make sure we don't have to OVER REACT AND DO SOMETHING REALLY STUPID like call the cops that a minor has possession of alcohol in school.

Thank God I worked with a few admins who have a brain and the big picture in mind when it comes to life.

The silent treatment. At first it was hurtful that the intention there was to be hurtful, especially on a special holiday. However, it was kind of a gift. A day without having to listen to someone's incessant complaining. A blessing in disguise. I'll take it!

I once got a plant and some dirt for it. ... I'm not really good at plants and I struggle keeping them alive, so that came as a surprise for me.

I do like it now. Surprisingly it's still alive after 6-7 years or so.
