In the fall of 1985, when I was in law school, I dated Jenny, a girl from Colombia. We were both students so we didn't have much money. She was a interior design student and loved decorating her apartment. At Christmas, I bought her a pair of leaded crystal candlestick holders. They were a classic and elegant design.

She bought me a ceramic, duck-shaped lint brush like this:

I thought it was a bizarre gift to give to someone you have been dating for five months.

In 1991, one girlfriend gave me a metal statue of Pepe le Pew kissing Penelope. It is painted black and white with real gold highlights and mounted on a quartz base. It's about 4" long and the same height. I think it was expensive. The two of us were living together and loved each other deeply.

I still treasure it. Even though she and I couldn't have made it as life-long partners, I still love her and will never forget her.

Ok i was spending Christmas with a few family members my 2 lovely sisters a niece and as luck had it my step sister and brother. Iwas dating an English girl at the time and she'd gone back to the uk for Christmas. She'd delivered my present in person to my sister's so Christmas morning about an hour into the unwrapping I picked up her package , it was heavy, I ripped open the package thinking it was something like golf stuff or maybe motorcycle parts. Imagine the sudden silence when I held it up to see what she'd got me. And it was a strap on harness, " for extra large sizes" it clearly stated on the package. I tried to ignore the second wrapped item in the box setting it aside hoping no one noticed. Yeah it was a good thought but my sister said I think you missed something and sent the underage to the kitchen for more cocoa before rummaging through the trash pile before exclaiming yup you should be more careful and handed me the long cylindrical wrapped gift...

@Kelly6 I can't recall the exact gift, as it was many moons ago. It was something he got as a gift and decided to give it away at Christmas. I was really aggravated; at the time it happened. It was some kind of game, but can't remember what it was?
