Dear Lord, this brings back nightmares! On my 18th birthday I had a party at my parents house. We had music playing and were playing games in our backyard, when all of a sudden, two cops showed up and said they had gotten "noise complaints", which I thought was odd, because all our neighbors were at the party! Turns out my moron neighbor hired two male strippers! My parents were PISSED, because there were high school kids there, so told them to leave😂😂 I laugh now but at the time I wasn't happy. I guess I did laugh then too but only a little.

So because my extended family is quite large and we all spend Christmas together we came up with a rule that you don't get Christmas or birthday (excluding special birthdays) presents after your 16th birthday/Christmas. Generally your 16th gift would be more extravagant as it's your last. (Nothing crazy).

My 16th Christmas one of my Aunts completely forgot to get me anything and another got me a beach towel... Yep...

(She made up for it on my 21st and got me a Marc Jacobs perfume 😂)
