Yep. Not a thing. The wonderful relatives who are no longer alive. Especially grandparents, great aunts, aunts and uncles. Of course my parents. The lovely, lovely people!!! The people who made us who we are... We were so lucky.

It's that time of the year, when the lights come down from the tree, and a void is left in your heart -- I totally understand.

As the youngest in a family of six, I miss when we were all together, my siblings and me. They were quite naturally my first childhood friends.

My parents and my grandmother. I'm so thankful for my big brother, though.

And I wish I had learned from my grandmother how to make candied walnuts just like she used to do. Sooo yummy!
