Do you reduce your social events after the Christmas holidays if you are living through a winter season right now?

My dad has reduced his days in the office at work and does his work over the phone and online when the weather is too dangerous for driving to the office building, and he says it is safe to downgrade his office presence right now, since half the company is on vacation, and nobody is judging or notice who is not there for every single office space work day.

I notice invitations to hang out with friends have declined since the winter season started, or maybe my friends are just busy with their daily chores and obligations right now.

No. I think these cold wet dark times are when socialising is the most important, it's what gets you through the winter. It doesn't have to be a party, most people are sick of them after Christmas. Perhaps just meet up for lunch or a coffee morning.
