Did you receive any Christmas cards or Christmas GIFs this year?

WOW! This is the first year that I only received one card in the mail and it was from my best friend from high school.
But it was only because she wanted to brag about her wonderful life, not so much to wish me a Merry Christmas.🤔

I have always sent out Christmas cards and last year I sent out 2 boxes. I receive about 10 in response to mine But this year I didn't send out any at all. So that's probably why I didn't get as many responses back.

You know selfishly I love getting Christmas cards ( particularly in post ) I received none in post , and only 1 overall hahaha

I sent out none ! So deserved my result.

In a past life , I was a sales representative for a greeting card company , not sure that job even exists now.

I specifically ask that those who want to give me Christmas cards or gifts pay it forward and help a local charity like a homeless shelter. So no, but it was by choice.

I have a lot of brand new merchandise (clothes and accessories) that I tried to donate to homeless shelters and none of them would accept them.🤔
I repeated that they have never been worn, and they said they don't accept clothing anymore.
I called 5 different shelters and they all said the same thing.
If I donate to the Good Will store the young lady who works there ends up buying my donation and I don't want HER to get them because I want the disadvantaged people to be able to buy what I donate.
I should just ask her to come to my home and buy them from me directly.
It's just not right what she's doing with my donation.

We've definitely received in excess of a hundred Christmas cards this year... It will certainly give the children something to do in counting them, when we take them down! lol

@sage2021 Absolutely right we did... Or at least to the majority of them.
Not including our own immediate family's Christmas cards, perhaps I should have mentioned that a good many them are from my husband's clients and business associates, along with all our children's friends.

From an old friend and from my former French teacher, she is 40 years older than me and her birthday is 1 day after mine.

I delete every mail without reading, that is rude to me to send an mail instead a card. So I guess that is why I didn't got mails this year

I received a few cards and plenty of gifts from family members, seems to get less and less each year as I get older

My best friend and his sister (also my friend) got me a large Japanese Meat knife


They’re also the only people I got gifts for as well

When I was a kid, My parents sent out scores of Christmas cards. When we received them, she would check off the cards we received versus the cards that we sent out and delete the ones that weren't also sent to us. We also had something called Welcome Wagon. When somebody new moved into the neighborhood, the neighbors brought them little gifts and food. That was back in the Leave it to Beaver dayz. We don't know any of our neighbors now. And we lived here for 15 years.
