I see a little snow on the ground but to me its the same place it was yesterday.

It is not like last year. When Trump won the election the world just seemed to be a brighter place and it seemed like the whole country was a better place.

About the only change I noticed is it is colder this year.

It just feels like winter where I live. Spring will arrive in 3 months and new life will begin the cycle of rebirth.

I don't get caught up in manufactured drama and I don't make predictions. I just hope that there aren't many negative changes to our liberty or economy in the new year.

I do wish that U. S., Israeli and European aggression would end.

The world seems different, but the change began at the start of the decade.

First the Covid lockdowns

Then the eruption of hot war between two European states for the first time since WWII.

Then Israel's overt attempt to destroy the Palestinian people. The victims of the past became the perpetrators of genocide today. So sad.

The so-called "Overton window" has shifted towards the Right, further than I ever thought possible in my lifetime just a decade ago.

Well what is the world supposed to feel like things change clearly and not just by chance it's by human design may be good or bad. But the real question is what is different what is the world feel like before and what does it feel like now is it uncomfortable is it a good thing can you resonate with what it feel like to you before and then figure out why and what's been going on in the world to make you feel this way. Just saying something to look at it more in depth for a more well-rounded and purposeful answer after the thought

I think it does… Maybe a little bit. The faithful seem more jovial and optimistic. A whole lot of people seem somewhat tired. In general, there seems to be a relief of tension now that 2025 is over.


My suspicion is that 2026 is generally going to be a less rough year than 2025.

Yes, the world feels more authoritarian to me.
Its because I know this year internet liberties will be taken from me and because yesterday was the last day launching fireworks was legal in my country.
So its already a tangible difference in liberties we have lost.
I fear its going to be a recurring theme, but I hope so much I am wrong.
