i don't know if it is just a conisidence, but the last new year s eve I wore black. and this year was the unluckiest of my life. is it just a coincidence?
Wearing black on New Years Eve: is it bad luck? No matter what you wear on New Year's Eve, you're bound to have a good time. But if you're superstitious, you might want to steer clear of black.
Wearing black on New Year's Eve is said to be bad luck. The reasoning behind this is that black is the color of death and sadness. So, by wearing black on New Year's Eve, you're inviting death and sadness into the new year.
Of course, this is all just superstition. There's no real evidence that wearing black on New Year's Eve will lead to a bad year. So, if you like black, go ahead and wear it! Just don't be surprised if you get a few funny looks from people who are superstitious.

Yes, it was a coincidence. You're crazy if you think that that was the reason you've had a bad year. Maybe you're having a bad year because you don't want to take responsibility for what you do with your time.
Coincidence. Try to start your year with happy thoughts and positive thoughts, get together with positive people and wish for the best.
I think it was just a coincidence.
If you believe its bad luck, don't wear it.
While in actuality there is no scientific proof that it is bad luck, the placebo effect just might steer you in the wrong direction since it will always be in the back of your mind.
Bad/Good Luck, Faith, and Destiny are the universe's tendency to dictate you. But the human will power can defy it.

it may be if it creates in you an emotional reaction where you believe it's bad luck. then such bad luck will follow you.
Overpower that belief and no... it's not.
I think it was a coincidence. Sometimes you have to think positive and try not to think negative to bring good vibes for the next year.
Never heard that before. Probably just coincidence.
If you do not look both ways before crossing the street it could be bad luck.
It’s just superstition and coincidence, , you can wear whatever you want if it looks good
Just something that happens has nothing to do with luck or superstition or color of clothing you wear, just happens like the roll of the dice you win some lose most, had you sent to Vegas wearing black and win, would you be wearing black everyday, no I don't think so, don't put obstacles that don't need to be in your way, think negative thoughts then that's what you will invite to you, there is no unlucky color Friday the 13th, you want to know the truth about Friday the 13th, it goes back to the knights Templar, if your not familiar with them, they were a brotherhood of knights who took it upon them selves to protect those making a pilgrimage to the holy land, Jerusalem, back in the 12 century, now they were very wealthy how they came into this wealth overnight is still debated today, but what they did was if your going to the holy land, you would deposit your money with the templar's before you left they would give you a slip of paper with how much you deposited so when you get to Jerusalem you gave that piece of paper to the templar's there for your cash, was the first true banking system, cut down on crime as you journeyed back and forth, now Kings, nobleman's just about everyone from rich to poor was borrowing money from the templar's for a fee of course, their biggest debtor being the king of France, a weasel by the name of King Phillip, turns out that the good king borrowed so much, he was bankrupted, in debt to the templar's he concocted a plot along with the Vatican yes the Pope himself was involved, to frame the templar's, being men of God, devoted in their religion, the king and Pope decided they would destroy the templar's, get out of debt and confiscate their wealth, they first spread rumors that the templar's were devil worshippers, paid a guy a few bucks to lie on their behalf, so the good king and pope had the Leaders of the templar's arrested, by this time there numbers were in the 10, s of thousands, upon hearing of the arrests, the templar's disbanded went into hiding, they tortured the Leaders into confessing that they were devil worshipers, some Brooke admitted it others held fast but it didn't matter the deck was stacked against them and they were all burned alive in public, step one accomplished, king and Pope 1, templar's, 0 the next day the king feeling high that he no longer has to pay back the money he borrowed, went to where the templar's held their wealth to steal it, but when he and his army arrived broke into the safe, it was empty no money no templar's to murder, templar's, 1,, Pope and King 1 and 1, the night before they were warned about this and quickly took off with their wealth, where again is still being debated most likely Scotland and then to the America's to bury their treasure, needless to say the king had egg on his face, no money and he just started a war with England, now the day that the king and Pope executed the templar's leaders, was on Friday the 13th, that's where it started any Friday the 13th being unlucky, thanks to our friend king Phillip and God, s Man on earth the Pope, his words I'm just echoing it, now the church kept this covered up for centuries they have written account of it, in their archives and they don't let anyone roam around in there ever and do they have some secrets that will tell the real history for last 2000 years, they wrote everything down daily, but that's the origin of Friday the 13th, true story
No such thing. I had a crap year but I've had worse. It's got nothing to do with what you wear on New Year's Eve.
If I look at what happened in 2023 I couldn't prevent, including but not limited to: needing to have my remaining big toe amputated to save the rest of the foot, selling off the business we've spent ten years building because of my wife's health and ending the year in debt living in one room at my mum's house at the age of 51 with my wife and 5 year old son.
Sounds bad when I say it like that.
So I usually say this:
My doctor was able to save the rest of my left foot by amputating just the big toe - and with the carbon-fibre blade in my shoe you can't tell!
My wife needed surgery for what we thought was cancer so we sold up the business to let her rest. Thank God the tumour was benign.
Although we've got some debt we get to let our son have time with his grandmother and I get to help her through her twilight years and look after my wife and son as well. We can find a way to increase our living space next year, and we can save what we could have been paying for rent to do it.
How you interpret events can change how you feel about the past.
I truly hope you have a peaceful and blessed 2024No , its not coincidence at all. Every item contains energy , its the same with clutter and unorganized energy flows , by wearing black on such an event , a funeral colour , you have bought really bad energy to your entire year , you committed to a bad / dark year.
These year to rid yourself of this energy you need to be super bright , well over the top , and the same time make a resolution to wherever you are living that you will go right though and get rid of junk , open your life for flow.. and allow and welcome good energy.
Keep it colourful , bright , organised , set everything for two , get rid of anything FAKE , like plastic flowers , big cleanout , energy flow and a colourful bright start to 2024 .
Yes of course.
The key to ALL superstitions is, if you think you're doing something that you are superstitious about, then you become more aware of it. It is purely phycological, nothing more..I wore black on New Year's Eve, and nothing happened. Maybe bad stuff just happened to you last year, and you might have a better New Year's Eve this year!
Don't let superstition dictate what you should do.It was a coincidence, that is called illusory correlation, when we tend to see relationships between things were there aren't any. Colours are just colors.
NO. That's the weirdest thing. In my family we all tend to wear black for new year's eve to welcome the new year, since it's considered to be elegant and sophisticated.
that is bad luck. at least add a color belt or different colored blouse or skirt with whatever black so not funeral style.
I don’t recall ever wearing black in New Years Eve, but I’ve still been having lots of bad luck every year.
I say rabbit rabbit when the clock strikes twelve kiss someone I don't know, eat black eyed peas and don't let a red head be the first to walk in your front door on new hears day the last ones a little difficult because I am a ginger lol
there's no correlation, wearing black doesn't give you bad luck. that's supersitious bs
Coincidence, there are no unlucky colors, numbers, dates or anything else that would affect your life, sometimes things just go wrong, that's life
Wear what you want on new years. I've worn black almost every new years and I'm still doing fine.
LOL The two events are completely unrelated. If you'd have had the BEST year of your life, would you say it because you wore a black dress on NYE?
What about wearing black as a black cat crosses your path while a black omen curses Times square and when that black ball drops.. There's a blackout.
