I read the title of the my take and thought this is complete BS. I read the entire my take and realized it was full of nothing more then nonsense rambling and didn't really even try to make a point. So it turned out to be right that it is complete bullshit.
Isn't it an oxymoron to "advocate for women rights on the ground of equality of the sexes" without having "men" in it?
I thought equality means having 2 sides at equal consideration.
Who is advocating for the other side? Don't men deserve equal treatment, rights and advocation from feminists too if feminists actually care about equality.
there is no equality, there never has been equality. it doesn't matter if you're a man or woman, if you're born ugly you get treated like shit. if your parents are rich, you get to own everyone and get away with anything. a woman hits a man 100 times, every cheers for her. the moment the man hits back for just once, everyone jumps him. the end.
Yes, by definition feminism is indeed about equality. However, a lot of the vocal "feminists" these days don't really want equality, they just want to be treated better than everyone else, they don't want any of the downsides of equality. Which is all pretty ironic, considering society already treats women far better than men.
I sometimes think of myself as a feminist, but It's confusing. The core of equality, that's what I agree with. But there's a lot going on and it's so convoluted now. If someone says they're a feminist, I don't know what their values are. Do they think we are all equal, or do they think that I'm persecuting women by being born a man?
any woman who is able to read this ridiculous MyTake is not oppressed and does not need feminism. The only oppressed women in the world will never see this. feminism in the western world is a joke. just a bunch of fatties bitching about how they get paid less annually because they take more time off and want the government to pay for the children they had out of wedlock. and how they hate men for being abandoned.
should have made better decisions, but nah, turn to the fake world of feminism and bitch all day long
Feminism can never be about equality because it can never be orderly or good for society BECAUSE it has been tainted by the evil of Marxism from the get-go. It is probably the first experiment for critical theory that western countries ever tried, and it has done nothing but damage, as should have been expected.

Feminism is a liberal humanist ideology. Humanist means human centered instead of God centered. Humanist want to do what humans want, not what God wants. Satan wants us tu behave like this. So feminism is a satanic ideology, it is evil. So feminism has no good base.
And equality is not an important goal but a life along to the will of God is an important goal. God created men and women differently, for different roles and he wanted the best for both when he assiged the sexes to the roles. He gave to men and women different excellences and weaknesses and he wanted them to mutually complement each other. Feminis wants to have, have have, not to give. But Jesus says: "It is more blessed to give than to receive". (Acts 20:35)
I think you've managed to write a dissenting opinion I agree with even less than the original MyTake.
A short rebuttal can be broken in to two parts: your view that any morality outside of a Christian morality is inherently a morality of evil is ignorant and offensive. and Nothing in Christianity preaches against equality. If you put aside all the disgusting baggage that is lumped in with modern feminism, and just looked at what LittleSally claims feminism wants, the legal, social, moral equality of all people, you'd have a hard time making any moral argument against it, because to oppose such a thing is to say that one sex IS actually better, or worse, than the other. Your bullshit take on humanism being satanist aside, nothing biblical argues against women being of equal moral worth than men, or lesser legal worth. And while men and women may be designed for different roles inherently, there is nothing suggesting their social worth is less. Women are people too.
@ksoma You have not understooden what I have written. I have written that men and women are of equal value but of different roles. This is the point. Feminists say that if they have different roles then females are not of equal value as men.
Feminism has never been about equality. Even with first wave feminism, the leading feminists were very much anti-marriage and anti-motherhood. They had an agenda to break up the family and encourage women to divorce their husbands and not need a man. First wave feminism was bad enough, but the feminism we have today is extremely toxic and has caused a great deal of misery to both men and women. Any blind fool can clearly see that feminism is not about equality, and I will never support it.
I dont believe we need feminism at all. What we need is gender equality. There are so many different areas in soceity were there is gender inequality and feminism does nothing to address it because it's against the male gender.
Feminism just isn't the right name for it, Gender Equality is what it should be called. (in my opinion)
Same principle as to why scientists no longer use the term "Global Warming" but say "Climate Change" instead.
Sometimes confusing terminology gives people an incorrect understanding of what something actually means, and if you are trying to achieve something with a term nobody can agree on, then you need to use another term.
Besides many problems with this, I think all I really need to ask is *what kind* of equality does it reference? Because you'll notice that it doesn't state it in the definition -- as if the definition was even relevant anyway.
"To those accustomed to privilege equality feels like oppression." Now wouldn't it be ironic...
but then why are feminists so opposed to using a term like humanist or egalitarian? I feel like feminists are quick to dismiss all of the ways in which men are discriminated against.
Is 'current' feminism equality in reality? u have a bunch of young boys being demonised for being men, and a bunch of young girls being taught to be men. .. whats the result going to be? women looking for 'real' men and men looking for 'real' women.
Looks like people would rather downvote you and dismiss a legitimate, and tragic, aspect of inconvenient history, than own up to the fact that their ideology had, and likely still has, it's own deep flaws.
Lol of course. They are unaware that feminism is a political movement at its roots, to benefit certain parties and ideas, not women nor women's rights ultimately.
Actually a derrogative term for a radicalized branch of the women who were actually fighting for women's rights, as the feminists stood against the black women, but the actual women's rights activists joined together with the black women... lol against the feminists 😂
If you mean equal opportunites then yes. Equity is cool. Otherwise why can't we all appreciate our differences and what makes us overall? We can't all be exactly the same.
There would be no pointing in dating a man that's exactly like me.
It makes me wonder how radical and reactionary people have to be, to see a perfectly reasonable, unoffensive post like yours, and vote it down. What did you say that any reasonable person could disagree with? Nothing. Which is why they offer no counter argument. They can't. They aren't reasonable.
@ksoma I don't really focus on downvotes anymore. If some people believe there has to be absolute equality in every single thing word for word, you can feel free to live with that stance.
I agree with your premise. You're right, feminism doesn't stand for female supremacy. It stands for female liberation, and a wider liberation of all people from oppressive principles.
If I felt feminism was merely about social, moral, and legal equality for women who did not experience those things, I would agree with the MyTake. But in my experience, feminism is not about those things... and I do not see how feminism, as an institution, has either the duty, the authority, or the right, to put itself out there as the vehicle for "wider liberation of all people from oppressive principles."
Well most feminism these day's are just women wanting to insult men so this whole thing is dumb also anybody making a big deal about meninism no so no this is not equal at all

Feminism is not about equality.
Black women were actually refused by white feminists to acquire our right to vote.
Black men and white activists men had to speak out against feminists so we could vote.

You lose me in a few places on this take though.
Women are already liberated
@RFW8A5U5F1 Not all women. Not from all oppression.
I thought feminism is for both genders not only women?
If I felt feminism was merely about social, moral, and legal equality for women who did not experience those things, I would agree with the MyTake.

Exactly, great Take, I agree, and I hope that equality will be achieved in the near future.
