Honestly, the only thing necessary for a good wedding song is that you love it. If it means something to you and the lyrics speak to you and the idea of having your first dance with your new married partner makes you happy, then yes, it's a good first dance song. I think it could be slow enough and if it isn't you could look into covers of it.
