Could a mother murder her own children for profit?

Question

I don't have this fear, but I was watching one of those crime dramas and suddenly it put a nail in my head about this.
My mother is too much of a coward to do anything, but I'm feeling somewhat uneasy about the idea she might be thinking that unless I get married she'll be the beneficiary of my stuff if something happens to me.
She absolutely hates my father. And given my resemblance, she never hid how much I'm the closest thing to him she has within reach. So if she had some brains she could kill two birds with one stone... surely it's my mind going too far, isn't it?
But the more I think about it, the more I see it's not too far-fetched.

I don't want to sound too over the top or paranoid, but lately she's been somewhat "too" concerned about me, what I eat, my medicines, etc.
She never acted like that in all those years so this change of pace warrants some curiousity.

Should I be talking to a lawyer, just in case?
Or hurry up in marrying or having a child?

Women have murdered, their own children for less.

A woman drove her car into a lake and drowned her 2 children, because her boyfriend did not want them around. A woman poisoned her child for years, just for the attention and praise she got for her act of selfless devotion to her child.

So it is not to far fetched, to think you mom would bump you off for financial gain.

There are pscy issues that cause anwoman to i tentionally poison their loved ine. People who are wounded and sick cam and will act out of those wounds.

Of course. There are, unfortunately, many cases where parents have killed their own children. Even when money/profit was not in the picture. It’s very rare though, it’s rare anyone kills anybody at all let alone their own kids. But can it happen? Yes of course. Has it happened? Yes, unfortunately. Will it happen again? Yes, unfortunately...

I don't mean it as an offense, but does it occur to you that you keep thinking up those awful scenarios because it's YOU who's not alright, and not other people?
It looks to me that you are surrounded by people who love and care for you, but your paranoid mind has to see bad intentions everywhere.

Yup, mum choked me when I was 12.
I don't know what was that for but it happened thankful dad came in at the right my moment.
Then for the next year, me and my dad use to go out to eat cause I couldn't truth her.
I don't know what caused it.
But now she is like every other mum.

Yes she is the one who gave birth to me.
Yes I have proof.
And I still don't know what was that all about
I left that in the past.
But from that time I have trust issues.
