What If someone who isn't the citizen of your country and you met them online and became close would you marry the guy/girl if they propose you and want to move to your country?
Or what if a person you like and met online says that he wants the citizenship and he -she wants to marry you to get it.
And you have a very serious liking for the person would you go for it knowing there is a chance you partner will fall in love with you risky but love is love.
Not in all countries you can marry for citizenship.
Mayhe I would marry after I get to know the person and I know they love me. And if I trust them, which will not come quickly.
But first of all, I will offer to help them otherwise, finding a job etc, but not marry... marriage is sacred to me.
I actually have a close cousin who might have known her first husband from China or Japan had married for citizenship... we speculate but they had a child together. It is kind of sad for the child, though I think the child is alright and I'm glad his fat takes an active part of rearing him.
At least where I live, sponsoring someone's application means you're on the hook for the cost of the services for 5 years, regardless if you're together or end up splitting.
Also for me, my ex-fiancé tried to illegally immigrate. It wasn't romantic, he lied about being ready for it and did nothing to get ready for it. While deliberately hiding it from me for months to years. While I also got him info for immigration consultants.
If I'm dating someone, we're already established in our communities.
It almost happened to me, I was ready to be with a foreign person I was in love with, so ready to the point to think I would married her and get the citizenship of her country, that’s very far from where I live. I know it would have been a big step but I seriously thought about a total change of my life in a foreign country.

Entering into a sham marriage for the purpose of helping someone commit immigration fraud is a federal crime. If convicted, you can be sentenced to prison and fined. If you are permanent resident alien, it is grounds to begin deportation proceedings.
I have to be in love with you and see a future with you and have kids and all that jazz for me to even consider moving countries for you. Let alone just to get a citizenship…
No I wouldn’t. If it’s a business transaction to benefit us both. Depends on the price. Otherwise I would not. I’ve seen quite a few relationships go south really fast in this situation and I won’t subject myself to that.
I don't think there is a country I would need to do that to live in. So no marriage would never be primarly about citizensship. I rather go the work route for that even if it's longer.
And yes several guy friends have asked— I think at the time bc they knew I wasn’t planning on marrying for two not relationship so it would’ve been easy for me to just marry to help them. But I don’t want to get enmeshed in the legal side to stuff.
Lol offcourse you would know them for years but only through like internet you would be chatting datting kinda LDR but never met in person or Even let's assume you met like 5 times in two years would that be enough?
i wish i did. my girlfriend got deported when i was 19. she was lovely and i didn't know that was an option. i still wonder about her and what might have been
I am married now. she was from Mexico and I am American. i tried to find her but many people that are in America illegally have to assume another persons identity. the name she gave me was probably not even her real name. i got a letter a few years later that might have been from her but i dont know. it was in Spanish. i called the number provided but a man answered and only spoke Spanish.
never. That in my opinion is absurd and will lead to failure... Im also proud of who I am and even if my country is not the greatest I still wouldn't move to any other if it wasn't temporarily
