+1 yI was a groomsman in both my siblings', and two of my friends'; those were pretty uneventful. I was also the ring bearer in one of my aunt's. My brother had held the same position in a different aunt's wedding, and, following directions from my father, had responded to the request for the ring with "You wants the precious?".
The aunt I was ring-bearing for did NOT want a repeat of that (I'm not sure why; most wedding ceremonies could USE a little more levity), and made me promise that I wouldn't even use the WORD "precious". I, having been carefully coached on this point by my father, promised. Instead, after walking up to the altar being asked for the ring, I shouted "to Mount Doom!" and fled as fast as my four-year-old legs could carry me. After that, it was decided that none of my father's children (of which I was the last anyway) would be allowed to be ring bearers.10 Reply

I haveeeeee ☺️☺️☺️☺️ My aunts not really aunts. I just call them aunts for respect. They practically raised me when I was a tiny baby and I was in their bridal train 🥰🥰 it was so fun being all dressy. And dancing with them I absolutely loved it I can’t wait to do that more 🥰 I love weddings so much but I’m scared of getting married 😂😂😂 the irony

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI have, but unfortunately, it was a pathetic one, and I was only there because my parents dragged me to it. The wedding, much like how my parents got married, was unfortunately caused by an arranged marriage, and it felt like absolute torture being in this so-called ceremony. My parents and other relatives who were within their age range or older enjoyed it, but goddamn was it a torturous experience for not only me, but also the only other person who was in my age range. It was a South Asian wedding, so no surprise it was a chore to get through. Luckily, he offered me a ride home and dropped me off before going back to his home so I managed to avoid a part of the torture.
Hopefully, weddings of other cultures aren't via arranged marriages and instead the couples actually fell in love and dated before the marriage, and maybe those weddings won't be such a nightmare to be in.10 Reply
