I will marry a girl who understand me and who is ready for a simple wedding. In India, most of the girls / women dream of lavish wedding and tons of gold jewellery.

Simply lavish. I want a small wedding with 20-40 or less guests. I dont want any bridesmaids anymore but I do want them as guests. My dress isn't traditional but I do want it somewhat white. The food especially the cake and scenery is going to be everything. I want a tented wedding/reception. I want a ceremony thats only about 30 mins while the reception is no more than 2-3 hours. Its my day. The guests are just... there

Ours was somewhere in the middle, but we did not spend much money on it. If I had to choose between spending a ton of money and not spending a ton of money, I would definitely choose not to spend a lot of money.

I never understood why anyone would want the day they married to be cluttered with anyone who isn't their SO. I'd want that day to be just "us time" for me and her.

It’s not women per se. The system is broken. Men get destroyed in divorce and family courts, for no reason at all. I suspect most people with that kind of power would abuse it. I mean we changed how divorce and child custody cases were handled in order to stop destroying women’s lives with divorce, but we failed to mitigate the backlash.
