  @JohnK123 Furthermore, Marilyn Monroe married at age 16. Both Janet Leigh and Loretta Webb married at age 15. Lana Wood was 16 and both Demi Moore and Milla Jovovich were 17. So don't make the ridiculous claim that 18 is too young.

  There's lot of reasons. Sometimes aside from wanting company it could also be financial.
  I once knew someone who was in his 90s and had 3 wives. When his 2nd wife died he married someone more than 50 years younger than him to pass on the inheritance because he had no children.
