Do you crave marriage less when you are more financially stable? how much do prenups work?

I've always wanted marriage, a steady reliable partner that I can spend the rest of my life with. But now since I am acquiring two large rental properties in the south, I am a bit more hesitant about marriage. I worked so hard for my properties so I can't imagine possibly losing half to my spouse. I dont feel good about having to share my income with my spouse either. I don't like to share.

As a man, I like the concept of marriage but not the reality of it today. I will not be getting married.
