Of course. Limerence can last a year or even more and trust me ya don't want to get married while in a lustful honeymoon stage to then months later lose attraction to them then start noticing all their flaws and etc.
That's for sure a cause of divorces and breaking up.
I would think so but you can learn a lot in 6 months. And in 6 months... you can make the decision right then and there. Whatever the outcome.
