Then the Greeks came along and promised their slave class voting rights, and the ability to have a wife and kids, to motivate them to defend the country from foreign invasions. And generally work hard. Rome took on that tradition, which spread throughout their empire, which resulted in how we live nowadays

Stop inventing facts, polygamy is multiple partners, it's not gender specific and no there wasn't 20 wives for guys 10000 years ago. The only people who had that many wives in history was country rulers. That isn't a ordinary man. And it's one guy among a population of hundreds of thousands, if not millions.
Ordinary men were slaves , died in combat, or used prostitutes. They didn't have wives
Lies most men where free men, farmers, fishermen or hunters. Slaves under nature, not under a ruler. Most of them lived their lives without even having anything to do with society outside their local settlement. Every family was self-sufficient.
They were prisoners of war/slaves, dead, or hillbillies. Archeology says 1 man had 20 women, if he had a woman at all
8000 bc was about the time we started with agriculture. There is no written documents from this time, so all archeology can find is whatever they built out of stones and other things that can survive the harsh treatment of nature for so long. We do not have genetic material from this time, because it doesn't survive that long. There is no reliable way of saying how many women each man had. Because back then there wasn't much of a globalization, so everyone was basically related to everyone else just a few generations in between. So claiming it was the same man that was the father of all kids is pure speculation or stupidity. You can't todays genome and roll the clock back and say that everything that looks the same was the same person. We don't even know which genes that will transfer between a couple to their kid, so how would we know the genom of the parents parents... In 30000 generations genes looked like. Most info is lost no wonder if it all looks the same back then.

I think you should fact check, not me. I use logic and there is no way you can look at our family tree that long into the past and know the sexual habits of the people or even see a particular individual in it. We can hardly see how their society was built. We can only make guesses. So anyone claiming that has failed somewhere in their assumptions. So yes I don't believe in that claim because they can't have evidence for it. It's no difference as it's about the dinosaur skins, one time it was like crocodiles, another like elephants, now its feathers like birds. You see how wrong these people are all the time. Don't accept their words as truth without study the evidence And the evidence will be so weak that you can throw out any number and claim it might be true.

Do it yourself. Since you clearly haven't grasped it.
No, it is the result of genetics and opportunity.
