My mom once brought a fake diamond wristwatch to the airport and the employees who worked at the terminal tried to steal it when we were at the line up where they inspect your luggage for illegal items. We found it hidden under a bin, they were hoping we would not notice and they could steal it and sell it. My point is, wearing an expensive item is dangerous cause people might kill you for it, even police officers at an airport tried to steal our watch cause they thought it was made of real diamonds. It might be safe to wear an expensive item if you are in a rich neighbourhood, but try going through Compton with a gold chain around your neck and see how long you last.
