What should you do with your used wedding dress?

The beautiful secondhand one you bought but decided not to wear? Do you save it for your children, or if you have limited closet room, do you sell it, or donate it?

1. If you are attached to it/sentimental value/wanting to pass it on, have it professionally preserved, and then put it somewhere safe.
2. You can sell it and use it as money towards a house, car, a honeymoon down the line.
3. Donate it if you are interested in helping out a bride who perhaps does not have money to buy her own dress. There are organizations that specialize in just dresses for down and out brides.
4. Donate to like Goodwill. Some lucky girl will get to keep the magic of the dress going at her own wedding.
5. Turn it into something else. Cut it up, sew the pieces into keepsakes, turn into play clothing for your kids or nieces, or turn it into art you can put on your wall.

do whatever you want with it. you bought it, so you can do whatever. also, don't expect your children to wear it. they need their own experiences.

If it was already secondhand you decided not to wear it, there isn’t really any sentimental value, and it will be meaningless to your kids or other family members. Sell or donate it and let someone who needs it get some use out of it.

I kept it for anniversary night fun for many years. It eventually go damaged and we discarded it.
