At least in the Western world, I don’t believe so.

It's a bad deal if you are a guy in the West due to no-fault divorce and misandrist family courts. However it is still the best framework to raise children in so family-minded men should do the ceremony but not do any government paperwork.

It is, but a guy should really vet a woman for a LONG time. Too many guys make the mistake of getting hitched without knowing who a woman is. And a woman will try to hide who she is for as long as she needs to, but who true nature will betray her over a long enough time line. Take your time! And never let her rush you. If she tries kick her to the curb. That is a dead giveaway.

It is for a few people. But not for degenerates, of course.

I know a guy who got married to his s/o after years of dating & they divorced one year later. Granted he got married later but I don’t know how experiences like this don’t scar people.

I've never been surprised when a couple gets divorced. Not because I don't believe in marriage, but because marriage is meant for people who meet a certain level of quality that most people don't meet anymore.

Please bear in mind that there are still two distinctive kinds of marriage in existence.

The traditional, purely Catholic marriage has not changed one bit in its significance as an unbreakable vow (might as well have it capitalised, I guess) and it's a goal worth a pursuit.

Now... The state-sanctioned so-called marriage is... Well... It looks like You do know what it is already. Basically, if there's not enough suffering in Your life already, go for it, I guess.

Thus... Yeah, marriage is still worth it, as long as it's the first, purely Catholic version of it. It's probably not really appealing to non-believers, and might sound a little too romantic and therefore unrealistic, but it's an unbreakable vow between two responsible adults, and as long as this sense of responsibility stays with them, it's the best deal You can get in this world.

    Yes. Married twice.
when you get to know your self… your values… you look for a woman who shares that… the marriage is worth it… as well… understand.. marriage is work and fun… willingness to scrafice. Etc…

Worth what? It's basically a legal agreement. It has advantages and disadvantages.

Yeah but imagine dating a girl for years & you walk in on her cheating on you & she says she wants a divorce & you lose all of your shit. That’s an L I can’t take.

You don't "lose all your shit". That's not how divorce works. In a joint property state, you will retain all property you had before the marriage. Assets accepted during the marriage will be divided by the court. In some states there may be alimony but that will depend on the circumstances.

I like to believe so, but I agree if it's lost it's value, it's in the western world, which is disappointing smh

Marriage to a modern woman is a loaded gun to a man's head.

Most modern women marry a guy who isn't even their second or third choice. Modern women marry to extract resources from a simp after these same women partied their way through their 20's. Maybe these women have a Chadling or two and need a simp provider to pay for their bad decisions. If they don't have a Chadling, they marry the simp to have kids, stay married an average of eight years, then divorce the simp, take half+* and yet to get back on the Chad cock carousel. This is the modern women mating, dating, marriage strategy.
