Why did I feel jealous?

I don’t love or want my ex *Michael;* nor am I very competitive. When I heard through my ex boyfriend’s family that he’d gotten married and saw Facebook pictures of them looking so happy on their wedding day, I felt a combination of happiness for them and some strong jealousy twinges. Did his wedding remind me of the fact that I have yet to be married? What am I jealous about?

That’s tough! If your relationship didn’t end on good terms, maybe you’re feeling frustrated at the fact that it could’ve been you getting married to him if things had gone better? Maybe you’re feeling like you’ve missed out.

I feel like I’ve missed out yes. I think I’m actually jealous of my ex…that he’s found someone and he’s starting his life over and I’m still unemployed and unmarried.

I think that it’s very normal to feel that way, you’re only human. To see an ex go through major life moments that you yourself have not experienced yet.. I think it’s only natural for you to feel some jealousy.
