What are your thoughts on spouses that murder their spouse and why you think they do such horrible act?

I watch a lot of true crime shows and if the husband or wife is murdered then you already know who did it 9 out of 10 times.

It's bad. Sometimes it's understandable because the spouse is abusive and is preventing them from leaving somehow, so it seems like killing them is their only option. Most of the time it is some sort of crazy controlling and possessive mindset, they are going to kill themself and so take their spouse down with them, they are jealous of actual or perceived unfaithfulness, they are angry about a fight and punish their spouse by killing them. Etc.

Women do it because they can get away with it with nothing more than a slap on the wrist.

Don't post isolated incidents especially about a insane person because I can do the same ish about a man that premeditated and murdered his wife and only did 13 years in prison and it's now out.

The immense majority of people that commit premeditation to murder someone get life in prison.

That man did 13 years while the girl in my story did two years’ probation and was ordered to perform 100 hours of community service after being found guilty of killing her new boyfriend. Shouldn’t she have also done 13 years in prison?

Different states have different laws and that girl is insane so they go to a mental institution instead of prison.
