Have you been asked to be married, how did you respond and why?

I’ve been asked on two separate occasions by two different men.
Both of which I proudly said no.
Reason I said no was because oddly enough, they each wanted to get married to me in hopes it would make us stronger and mend their mistakes towards me.
Over 13 years later and I still have not married. I’ve remained single, with enjoyment in my solitude minding my own business going home and going to work.
