My parents marriage is as close to perfect as possible. I use their marriage as a basis for what I seek in a relationship. Apparently my relationship with my girlfriend is better than their relationship is (at least according to them).

We are perfect compliments for each other and haven't really exited the honeymoon stage. We have never fought and it's because we just don't have issues. We have had a few instances of miscommunication, but I can count the numbers one one hand with fingers to spare. Due to my rule of not pursuing a romantic relationship with someone who isn't already a friend, we have enough similar interests in which we can just enjoy being together even if it isn't flirty or romantic.
