Would you pick a new family name when you get married?

My partner and I legally changed our names when we got married. Our country let's us keep either last name or combine them with a hyphen, but we felt that a new name suited us more.

Would you pick a new family name together? What is your opinion on it become a regular practice?

no need for new she just adds my family name as her new family name because we are one family.
i heard of flynn fletcher in disney series but... who gets to be first? his name or her name? and why are names so long... just she joins his family.

I think it's an interesting idea though probably not one that will catch on to be as popular as just taking one parties (generally the guy) name.
