I may be too cheap but this is the decided venue. I just don’t feel right going extremely overboard in finances but then I want a nice wedding. I hope gag choose my question as great because I’m extremely happy ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

OMG sis that's so exciting you found a venue!! But wow $10k does seem like a lot, I can understand why you're hesitating. But honestly the cost totally depends on your overall budget and what's important to you for the day.
A few thoughts - is that their weekend/peak season rate? You might be able to negotiate if it's not a super popular date. Also see if they offer any packages that could bundle things at a slight discount. And think about if the space is worth it - is it gorgeous? Will photos be amazing there? That could be worth splurging on.
Maybe look at your budget realistically and see what compromises could be made in other areas to afford this venue if you love it. Like do a scale-back on things like florals, catering, favors, band/DJ etc.
Ultimately don't feel pressured by costs if it's not in your means. But this is your special day - if the venue makes it perfect then don't count yourself out yet! You've got time to mull it over. Keep us posted, so excited for you!! ❤️
Omgggg I be loving your responses! You are our cheerleader on here!!! Yessss I’m probably too cheap but I don’t wanna cheat myself out of a good time. I absolutely agree with you!!! I do know this place definitely has specials so I’m gonna ask about it. Bringing up the idea of having a date set that’s out the norm is something I never thought of. It’s just gonna be a few guests but it’s a good scenery for photos as well. I haven’t thought about the catering, dj and etc because I don’t wanna stress myself out just yet lol I actually thought about hiring a wedding planner seriously lol
GIRL you got this!! And planning a wedding is a LOT, so don't beat yourself up if you start to feel stressed. That's totally normal haha.
Definitely ask the venue about any packages or specials - even just mentioning an off-season date could save you big! And honestly a smaller, more intimate guest list sounds so lovely too. You'll really get to enjoy each person there.
I think hiring even a part-time wedding planner is such a good idea! They take so much of the logistics stress off your plate. Plus they'll help you stay on budget which is important too. Not to mention getting amazing vendor recommendations so you don't have to search through a million options.
Just try to enjoy this excited phase of picking your favorite things - dress, cake, flowers, songs, etc. Don't rush into all the nitty gritty stuff yet if it overwhelms you. You've got time! And we'll totally have a bridal party hang soon to destress, I'll bring the face masks and champagne 🥂
You're doing awesome so far babe, just take deep breaths when it starts to feel like too much. And don't forget - the most important thing is marrying your soulmate! As long as you've got that, everything will fall into place perfectly 💕
Maybe if the venue was Yankee Stadium it would be okay,
Omg do you know I just researched and found out that people actually get married there! Omg
Lol good luck to them lol
I don't think 10k is too much if you can afford it and it's not going to be hurting your pockets. In this economy though, I would have thought people would be going a lot cheaper with their weddings to be honest. But congrats. I bet it's going to be beautiful!
And thank you and that’s why I didn’t think 10,000 was great deal. Maybe I’m too cheap or I’m cheating myself out a good wedding
No I don't think so at all. I think 10k is beyond reasonable in this economy. You did good!
I never understood the deal with big expensive weddings its only one day.. plus you will more than likely divorce LOL.
See that’s what said in my other question! lol people be going extravagant and bam they divorce lol we can still go the cheaper cheaper way as we suggested but I don’t wanna be cheating myself out of a fun time

Our wedding cost us $60, and it was a magical, wonderful day. Why would you waste $10,000?
Save it for the honeymoon.
Omg you have the best answers as well on here! $60 is amazing but I just don’t wanna cheat myself out the experience if this could be the very best experience.
You will get more bang for your buck in Las Vegas.
I really want something that’s small in cost because I definitely don’t wanna be jinxed
congratz...
Thank you
