Have a seat children im about to tell you the origin story of the bachelor party.

The tradition of the bachelor party can be traced back to ancient times. The origins are often attributed to ancient Sparta, around the 5th century BCE. Spartans held a dinner in honor of the groom-to-be, celebrating his last night of freedom before his commitment to marriage.

The modern concept of a bachelor party, as we know it, began to take shape in the mid-20th century. It evolved from a simple stag night—generally consisting of a men's dinner—to a more elaborate event, often involving activities like pranks, heavy drinking, and various forms of entertainment. These events were designed to be a final celebration of the groom's single life before he enters into marriage.

Interestingly, while the term "bachelor party" is widely used in the United States, other countries have their own versions with unique names. For example, in the UK, it's known as a "stag do," in Australia, it's called a "bucks night," and in France, it's referred to as "enterrement de vie de garçon," which translates to "burial of the life as a boy."

Well, my Giga Chad friend regularly infiltrates the bachelorette pub crawls and raw dogs the living fuck out of the "brides". So, for women, I guess it's to get laid by a rando.

Honestly I went thrifting with my girls ans had lunch and my husband went axe throwing and had a few drinks then at our apartment after it doesn't have to be crazy but it's nice to have to get together and do something fun and not be stressing about the wedding

    Depends on culture.

But for most, it's more a "pre wedding reception" than a mere "party".

To have fun and let loose and if you choose to do certain things don’t tell the other person and I know my wife did certain things and I’m fine with that

@Nightmoon23 I don't have one. I worked in hospitality and events, have seen what the parties are like. Everyone drinks the 'friends' organise and pressure the bride or groom into thinks they wouldn't do sober
