Would you consider a girl who proposes to her partner as desperate?

So lately, I've been seeing a lot of hate towards women who genuflect infront of a man with a ring, calling them a "desperate b*tch", IRDK why that's the case, maybe it's because they would like to see a traditional way of courtship? There's also a saying that if she still had to propose to him, he never wanted to do it in the first place. I do believe the same thing goes to when who will initiate the first move, contact, and the dates, but what do y'all think of girls who asks their SO to get married, or at least giving your man an engagement ring?

Well as the whole concept of marriage is to protect the woman, and it's entirely biased from a mans perspective,

they take the kids, all your shit and generally devistate you for sport.

It's taking the piss to do a public proposal, it's basically passive aggressive begging. Puts you in a bad position as a man.

Men only propose when we have evaluated the risk, and are certain she will probably say yes and enjoy being asked.

What right dose a woman have to ask that of us, or demand it.

If we are willing to trust her, and put ourselfs in that position, the she should feel honoured.

She may still decline, but it's a very flattering comment on your personality. That someone seems you worthy of that risk.

I don't think her making her feelings known in a strong relationship that is going that way anyway is desperate. She just got there first.
In other situations, I guess it could be seen as trying to push the relationship in a direction it was never destined to go.

Not desperate at all in my opinion, but I'd rather she propose with a prenuptial agreement than a ring to make it more appealing.

Honestly, no. I imagine a relationship consists of two people mutually invested, so whoever decides to ask the other should not be a point of focus at all.
