What is the best way to me to carry clothing on a plane to wedding?

I am attending a wedding that I must fly to. What is the best way to carry my clothing without wrinkles etc. I know there are overhead bins, but I really need to hang it. Has anybody had to do this, and what did you do? Thanks.

Aircraft have closets at the front. Ask the attendant if you can hang your dress there. There are ways to pack clothing to avoid wrinkles. Have you looked online? There are probably fifty sites telling how to do this.

I would use a hard suitcase and pack it lightly enough, so that the clothes are not pressed together.

You don't wear clothes right out of your luggage, you have it pressed when you get to your hotel.

There are special cases for that, but you might have to pay extra for baggage.

Make sure you call WAY in advance and ask the airlines customer service if the plane you will be traveling in has a closet and then ask if they would be able to store your wedding dress in it during the flight. If they don't have one, or are unwilling, at your destination ensure that they have someone who can steam the dress for you or have a steamer you can borrow, because you'll have to roll or fold your dress to be able to pack it in an overhead bin or check it (which we all know things can get lost, so not ideal).
