Would you be okay with a friend of your wife’s putting a car in her name and giving it to her?

My wife has a group of guy friends she was close with before me and they are wealthy and often gift her stuff for graduation etc even after she got married to me and they know who I am but I only know of one of them the rest no clue. The question is do you think this is a red flag stating me in the face with this blow up oneday and would you be okay with your wife receiving gifts from non family males?

The best case I can imagine is an older guy who feels your wife is like a bright charming daughter to him and he would like to contribute to her life. A dutch Uncle.

To me it is progressively more unlikely with the number of dutch Uncles there are. Even if you are wealthy a car is a substantive gift and a wealthy guy would know that he might only be liked for his money and be reserved about buying affection from a "niece".

The lounge room is not a court room with the penalty of perjury for lies. I find that people who make up stories tend to change them and have difficulty in keeping them straight. They enhance and forget.

I think, be outwardly pleased with the new car and it would be normal for you ask about him and his story. Don't question anything said. Just remember all the details and come back to it in 2 weeks or a month later for more details. See if the story changes and if she acts to change the topic.

You haven't mentioned how old she is but graduation presents implies she met them in her early 20's. I am kinda thinking sugar daddies.

I know of a guy who didn't know his wife worked in a brothel. Apparently all the friends thought he did know but it became obvious he didn't at a Christmas party.
