Not a single day has past in our 8 months marriage that he didn’t make a point of how my Geordie accent sounds so weird, cute, unintelligible, etc. I am not joking when I say his birthday present to me was an online elocution lesson subscription. I am on the verge of tears as I write this. Waiting, full of dread, for today’s catty remark. What would you guys do if you were in my shoes?

Tell him that if he does not stop annoying and patronizing you, you will stop cooking or fornicating with him with each day he mocks your accent and makes fun of you.

This guy seems to be a huge red flag and a person with a very low IQ. Perhaps you should tell him to get a higher education and a little consideration for others and that his behavior is the one of a man that lacks human knowledge.

See how he reacts when you withdraw intimacy and feeding and see how he likes to be treated like a kid with punishments to try to make him understand that his behavior is the one of a little child.

i'm sorry but this sounds like a marriage strictly for benefits. i mean, why else would you date (i'm assuming didn't just jump straight to marriage) and marry a guy who said this to you every single day? so what is the story here? am i right? it's better to be single than have to deal with someone who clearly doesn't really like you.
