Do you regret marrying your spouse when your exes became successful?

Question

I regret marrying my husband and not my exes. My exes turned out to be successful with a high paying career, has nice house and nice cars. While my husband is just an average Joe.

An aunt of mine, not by blood, dated a guy who became a multi-billionaire. Her kids were excited and said she should have married him. She had to explain if she did that they wouldn’t be here right now.

I just looked him up and saw that he met his wife very close to the time he met my aunt, within 6 months, as he was at a famous college at the time and a big annual event was happening when he met my aunt and graduation was a bit later when he met his wife. I see that he stayed married to her and there are no reports of cheating.

With my aunt he tried grouping her and she refused. He threw her out of the taxi they were in on some random street.

Anyway, I did pretty well. I think at least one ex was infatuated with me afterwards according to friends. I also like my sisters friend who was 6 years older than me but i was underage. My sister teased her that she should have as my career took off rapidly. She ended up divorced.

That's ridiculous. My ex's are ex's for a reason or several reasons, and I wish them well in life. I'm with my SO because I choose to be and I don't regret that decision at all, no matter what level of success she achieves. As it turns out, she's far more successfully financially than any of my ex's, but more importantly, she's mentally and emotionally more developed than they became.

I know at least one of my exes is pretty successful but we didn’t work for a reason. He wasn’t a bad guy, we were just incompatible. My partner does well for himself and we’re able to live comfortably so that’s more than enough for me, and even if we didn’t we’d try to get ourselves to a better place

You’re not craving your exes, you’re craving status and lifestyle. That’s not love, that’s comparison and a bit of gold-digger energy 😏.

If your husband is kind, loyal, emotionally safe, that’s priceless. Either appreciate and build with him, or leave instead of silently resent. But don’t torture him because your ego misses luxury.

They tried there best to provide for you and yet you think you should have married someone else.

You know right he would have chosen someone else as well?
But he ended up choosing you too.
