Is it normal for a bride to charge $150 at the door and still expect gifts?

They had a credit card machine at the door. I left. i guess the bride didn't like there gifts so they were trying to get extra money.

I felt this was tacky. A couple people left and took there gift back. thet didn't even have decent food. a lot of people were mad.

They were trying to have extra spending money for there wedding. I feel this should have been included in the rsvp

When I went a wedding with my family my parents said the y would donate enough money to cover their plate, so if the wedding cost $40,000 and there are 250 guests, you pay $40,000 divided by 250 per person in your family attending the wedding.

Weddings are expensive been starting to plan mine so I understand wanting to off some cost onto the guests, however the guessts should know prior to attendance so they are aware of what they are agreeing to

Yes. a lot of people paid a lot of people left and took there gift too. I left my gift. I am glad I left they didn't even have cake

I've NEVER heard of ANYONE charging people to come to their wedding!!! My grandmother used to cater weddings as far back as the `40's and I helped her a number of times and I've NEVER heard of this, before!!
