I agree I feel the same way a lot of people say dont do it but my mom and dad was married for 38 years until my mother passed away. My siblings are married and everybody has a great marriage

Same with mine. My parents were married for 44 years before my mum passed. Sure they had their ups and downs but they still stayed together. I'm jealous, it's something I'll never have.

I knew I would marry by the time I was 12 years old. It never happened until I was 21, but it happened eventually.

Many people I know are in great marriages, some that have lasted for 20, 30, or even 40-plus years. I wouldn't judge marriage by the garbage you read on here.

Me too including my parents they've be married 30 plus years. My brother and sister both gave been married for 20 years or more. This is why I know it can work but people now a day are to bitter its just sad

I had several steady, monogamous relationships, beginning when I was 16. But I didn't want to get married at an early age and really had no urge to get married at all. I wasn't interested in having kids, either.

I was around 33 or so when I started thinking finding a partner to settle down with for life. I didn't want to be old and lonely. I was looking for a best friend and partner.

I lived with a gorgeous 31 year old woman for almost a year when I was 34. Things were amazing for a while, but her psycho began to reveal itself.

I met another lady when I was 36. She was 30 and matched my vision of the feminine ideal physically. It turned out that she was also hypersexual, orgasmic and extremely adept.
We lived together for 2 years. I loved everything about her and she loved me. But it turned out that we couldn't have made it as partners for life for reasons that are too hard to explain. We separated even though we still loved each other.
Being separated from her is the greatest pain I have ever experienced. It took me a year to pull myself together and move on.

I met my future wife when I was 40. She is 2.5 years younger. We got married two years later and have been happily married now for almost 30 years, had LOTS of fun, and built a wonderful life together.

Not really no, been there done that.. I used to have the Disney dream but seeing how people behave now I don't even think that is possible.
The only way I would ever marry again is if the guy had good income and was absolutely in love and caring to a fault. Which let's be honest how many men are actually like that? lol I rather just find a long term boyfriend I can get along with and never be tied to legally so if I wanna leave I can just go.

I heard in America do marry people very young and divorce very often.

Yes, if I meet and date the right man when I've finished my studies. I started thinking about it more seriously in my mid thirties. Before then, I wasn't really mature enough or ready to commit to anyone properly.

To explain: my previous marriage... I agreed to it because I was immature, and had faith in humanity in general. Didn't work, of course.
After I began thinking seriously, I seriously thought (and think) that 'marriage' is a romantic and outdated arrangement.
Things got better since: my permanent relationship does not longer depend on conventions
