I don't know depends on how long i been with them. i have a lot of disposable income and if i dont donate it then i dont see why not buy them something really nice.
It really depends on the couple, how long they've been together, incomes, and a bunch of other factors. You can't just throw arbitrary numbers out there and say that's how much you should spend.
It's truly based on what your income is. For when I was making less than 50k a year. I would probably end up spending around $100. However, now I wouldn't mind spending $300-$500.
I plan on spending as little as possible. I don't like spending money and the boyfriend won't even tell me what he wants >.< how am I supposed to buy him something if he doesn't want it?
Thanks :) I'm thinking I should convince my boyfriend that dinner and a movie is a good gift and one of us should pay for dinner and the other for the movie and call it good. I'm lame haha.
I said B, but it really depends on how much you have to spend, like I have no problem spending more or less if I have it depending on what I know he wants :)
Bvote! I spend about the same amt on my close friends and immediate family. I would consider them on par :)

Depending on what the item is, the average small gift/accessory should be under $100 unless your SO loves expensive things like car parts, electronics etc.

It depends how close you are.
It's it's been under a year.. Obviously under 100.
If the relationship is great and been like 2 years +, I'd spend around 200 dollars.
Hope that helps.

he won't even tell you? what a good boyfriend:D fyreals, he is taking preventative steps to make sure you don't have to spend any money! x)
by the way cool horse!

Under $100. She never tells me what she wants and if I spend over a certain amount she tells me we need to save money for are vacation.
I don't spend any money. I don't believe in holidays. If I buy her something it's just because I wanted to. Not because of the holidays.
~100 probably. Really depends on what they want.
I don't do guessing games.

Don't be cheap with them... but at the same time don't spend a fortune on them. It's really not worth it.
With this military salary; not much. Like $100 tops. Shit, usually $200 covers gifting costs for my entire family.
$100-$300 is reasonable. I wouldn't spend over that. I think unless it's several items, one big item is better.
If I had money I would spend $300 to $500 just because I would like buying different stuff for him xD

I don't really have a significant other, but to buy gifts for my closest friends I'm spending over $100 in total.
I got my boyfriend a big case of RPGs for Christmas this year. About $150
