Boyfriend scared of needles?

How many of you guys are scared of needles? I have a hard time making my boyfriend go to doctor at times because he is scared of the pinch. He does crazier and more dangerous things and yet he is scared of a needle? Just wondering how many of you are scared of them or a little pain like a needle?

That's one that I never really understood, because I have needles stuck in me all the time, whether from piercings, doctor-related things, plasma donations, etc. It doesn't feel GOOD, but it's far from something that bothers me, and I'm pretty used to it. I just prefer not to watch it go in. What I DON'T like so much are vaccinations or other kinds of injections. Taking something out is one thing, but putting something in is another thing entirely. I don't freak out, but something about the idea of having a foreign substance injected into my body gives me the willies, haha. It's not the needle that bothers me, it's the delivery method.

But being afraid of needles is a really common fear, and I guess it's more understandable than some of the more irrational ones, like cotton balls or tin foil. =P

Needles are my biggest weakness. I've been dodging them out of fear since childhood. Now my romantic interest (there is certainly something mutual between us) is a girl who is a nurse. Haven't told her about this fear, but I intend to do so. I hope she understands and does not judge me. How would you react if your romatic interest revealed such a phobia?
