Kind of, but I would say I have a phobia of needles, because the anxiety I get from them exceeds normal fear. I’ve never passed out from one, but I do cry a lot and get light-headed and extremely panicky whenever I need to get a shot or something. Looking away doesn’t help me. And I know, rationally, that my fear is completely unfounded because they don’t actually hurt that bad, but I can’t help the terror I feel whenever I know I have to get pricked with one.

I HATE needles. It triggers my anxiety I refrain from getting blood work done unless it's absolutely necessary. If I have to go, I go to the same lab that I have always gone to and try to get the same nurse, the familiarity reduces my anxiety.
I used to cry at the sight of it but now I just get nervous and clench my hands into a fist. It's progress.
I've had so many that I couldn't be, lol. Blood tests, dental injections, IV lines, you name it. I'm usually happy when the needle goes in, that means drugs are coming 😍 Legal drugs... that is... 😐
no... i used to but last time i had an injection the nurse was clever and had actually already done it by the time she said this may hurt so ofcourse it didn't hurt at all

I don't. I'm like a pin cushion with all the blood draws I have had but my daughter is. She is going to be a nurse. She's fine on other people but just not herself.
No, I actually watch them put the needle in.
Yeah, I'm not really fond of them. I like to leave the doc's office with the same number of holes as when I arrived!
16 years ago I wasn’t. Cause I have small veins and always used ‘butterfly’ needles to get my blood drawn. Till one day, I had a surgery appointment. A nurse thought it was a good idea to use a big long needle for the anesthesia. Even though I told her I have small veins. She didn’t listen and proceeded to stick in the needle in. She couldn’t find the vein on my arm and ended up bruising me.
So, she waited for the doctor and other surgeons to show up. That each person were taking turns on each part of my body, trying to find a vein stabbing me with a needle. They tried each arm: 2, each hand: 2, each wrist: 2, each feet: 2. One more on each arm again: 2.
At that point I was crying, kicking and screaming. Cause the pain was excruciating, and the doctors and nurses were holding me down. While one doctor was still stabbing me on my feet. They covered my face with mask and I knocked out.
I woke up after surgery with my mom beside me upset. That my whole body was covered in bandages just for a nose surgery. She was yelling at the nurses and from then on, I kinda became fearful of big needles.
also, here’s a example of different needle sizes:Nah they dont bug me. I've only ever almost passed out once while they were trying to get blood from my son and they keep putting the needle in him over and over like 5 times till they just had to cut his foot and get blood that way. It was bad
Meh somewhat, I don't fear the pain or really worry much about it. I've had a ton in my lifetime, I just dislike the sight and feeling of needles. The scratch isn't as bad as the movement inside the skin for me. I hated having a cannula for surgery, just knowing it and feeling slight movement was uncomfortable.
No, but I do giggle when getting shots. I don't know why (I'm just broken that way I guess), but my brother when we where younger would always wonder about that. I would be getting a shot and start giggling which would make my brother start laughing which would make me start laughing and he would ask me why I was laughing and I would tell him I have no idea while laughing. I imagine the doctor was very confused by this.
😂😂😂 LOL.. I have removed Intergate (a permanent fixed needle) from my own arm.. Alone when I was being discharged from the hospital..
I fall sick so often after every 3 months I end up needing 3-6 injections..
So needles are nothing for me..
I bet I could collect blood sample or inject myself in my arm if I could learn a match the vein..I really don't gave a fear of needles since i became
Insulin dependent and i first started giving myself
insulin shots since about 12-13 years now. But at
times i still crinch at the site of needles and sometimes
i need IV' s when i was getting admitted. A month ago
i had to get lab work done and they took blood from me
with needle in my arm.No do you have a fear of needles. My friend is deathly afraid of them and he's a big guy he'll pass out if he has to get a needle
If its done right, drawing blood doesn't hurt
I've had this golden experience only once. The rest of the time it's always some crazy aggressive bitch who pokes the needle so bad and tries to move it while it's inside 😢
But yes, I am scared because of what's happened with me..
But I'm cool with tiny pricks for glucose testing.Yes and no, i was tripping that it was scary until i volunteered to donate blood at school (they were giving two days off to anyone who would donate) i was like heck yeah lets do it, and it was kinda scary but when it happened its was totally ok, its one of those bullsh*t fears that you have to do over and over to prove that its not real cause its not, and since then i donated one more time, and it was fine not scary at all
No, in fact I'm was always intrigued when they take my blood.
I donated blood a few months back, and they took like around three syringes. My blood looks like fanta grape juice. The thought of it penetrating my skin is horrible but honestly, I try and suck it up and get through it. I won't pass out because of needles though, it's not that bad
I actually get excited lol. I always look when i get injections or blood drawn. The doc says don't look don't look and i just say it's ok lol go on. I used to inject myself every day for a month straight and had to do it myself so im all used to it.
Yeah but mostly with blood draws. Shots don't bother me as much. I just avoid looking at it and ask them to use the small needle, I think the official name is "butterfly needle". I don't notice the feeling of it going in as much when they use it.
I have panic attacks whenever I am in a room where people are getting blood drawn/getting vaccines. My family is anti vax too so I never learned to get over the fear and its getting bad. So my current plan is to hopefully go to therapy for it and then catch up on vaccines once Im 18
No i do not fear needles
Im blood donator myself since 3 yearsI have been fine with injections to the point i could do it myself but bloodtest seemed to hurt and i can't look i will either pass out or throw up and i feel sick as a dog.
Oh yes I hate needles so much!!! As a kid I remember having to be held down by multiple doctors just to get one in my arm :) no thank you
