Do needles scare you?

No, but I had a surgery for a bone tumor about 12-14 ish years ago, and I before the surgery, when I had to fast and all, they drew my blood for pre-op. And I immediately felt light headed, dizzy and that I wanted to puke. They got me on a stretcher asap and put me on IVs. Ever since that time, I've never wanted to experience that again. I wouldn't say I'm scared of needles as much as I am of the feeling of being that nauseous

Nope, not at all.

I grew up with a diabetic father, who had to give himself regular injections of insulin. As a result, needles have always been very ordinary to me. Whenever I have to get a shot, or blood drawn, etc, it's never bothered me.

They don't scare me, but it depends on who is giving you a needle or withdrawing blood. I had a nurse/clinician take my blood last week, and I was not prepared, or she was the worst at taking blood. It hurt a lot, and I almost said "Ouch!!!" Some people are better with them than others.

I read everyone else's answer and I'm glad they're so brave. I will admit it, I'm a total chicken shit when it comes to needles BUT it seems to be only when they're used on me. Growing up on a little farm or taking my dog to the doggy doctor, I have no problem watching a vet use them.

Not as much was the person sticking them into you. Just in the hospital ER last week- three straight misses until they brought in the A-Team. They were 2 for 2.

Needles don't scare me, but I don't particularly like getting poked with them, especially IV. I always look away when they have to stick one in my vein. I don't get woozy or frightened, though.

I haven't gotten a shot in a long time because I no longer trust vaccines.

I have horrible experiences with them Every time I took a needle something went wrong  But these days I have so much bigger problems that I just don’t care about a needle

They did, when I was a kid. These days, although, for some reason, I prefer not to look when one is being shoved into me, I barely even feel it and, they don't really bother me at all.
